ARTISTS IN RESIDENCE IN SOUTHERN BURGENLAND

AIR CP 2012

Gabi Cseh and József Papp, well known Hungarian artists, will visit Austria in April 2012.
They are invited to an Artists in Residence program in Southern Burgenland.


In the first week of April 2012 (Easter week) the Hungarian artist duo Gabi Cseh and József Papp will stay at Neusiedl bei Guessing, community of Kukmirn.

They will work with artists of the region.

The artists will visit cultural institutions and ateliers in Southern Burgenland and neighboring Styria.

As part of this artist-in-residence program these artists will present their work.

Gabi Cseh will offer a fire enamelling workshop in Rudersdorf.

Program (still in progress):

  • Enamelling workshop by Gabi Csehin the House of Culture in Rudersdorf on 3 and 4th April 2012, from 14:00 bis 18:00 o’clock on both days, for kids (students) and adults.Art exhibition of objects of the Hungarian artists in the House of Culture in Rudersdorf during the enamelling workshops and in the House Gallery Simetzberger from 2 – 5 April 2012. There will be objects of the artists for sale, too, in both exhibitions.
  • Cultural tour (s) in Southern Burgenland and Styria in the adjacent, including:
  • Talks with gallery owners and cultural managers
  • Visiting artists (such as the ceramic studio Dittrich at St. Michael, ceramic studio Mutabor at Kukmirn)
  • Visits of the open-air museum Gerersdorf and Art Village Neumarkt an der Raab, Landtechnik-Museum St. Michael bei Güssing
  • Interviews and photo shoots
  • Farewell Party on April 4th for invited guests
